I N T R O D U C T I O N
My name is Maia Williams, I have been a graphic Designer for 4 years and UX/UI designer for 2 years in total, now. I am very passionate about art and started drawing at an early age. In high school my extra curricular classes were art, digital art, and graphic design. This passion and a common sense evaluation of the job market led to my interest in UX and Graphic Design. As a result of these studies I have gained four years of experience in Illustration and design to apply towards an opportunity in Graphic and User Experience and Interface Design.
In focusing and applying my experiences in Graphic Design, I was able to apply my enjoyment of art to complete coursework with Parsons School of Design | The New School (Yellowbrick), earning a certificate in User Experience Design. This educational path has allowed me to take what I have learned in my freelance positions, Customer Service and other Experiences to apply them in designs that are Human Centered with the client in mind.
