Project FLEUR is a, mockup project that I did. For this project, I made a mockup of a brand called FLEUR. I imagined that the brand in question would be the equivalent of IPSY (the online makeup reseller). For this project I came up with a Logos , mood-boards, digital posters, coupons and packaging mockups.
In brainstorming for this, I came up these moodboards. When coming up with the colour pallets for it, I wanted the to be colours like the colours of makeup that you would see on blush, mauves, pinks. In order in order to make them more neutral, I chose to make them peachier like the colours of skin, I also picked the colours of rose gold for this reason because to me it resembled the different shades of skin. For for the fonts I chose to do pick out simple serif fonts such as Poppins, inter, and Jeju Gothic, in a plain black. so that it would strike a balance with the bright pinks and golds that I chose for the brand.
For the logo I knew immediately that I wanted a simplistic yet elegant logo for the brand. I wanted it to look like a flower but in a manner that was minimalistic. I still wanted that layering of petals that a normal flower would have, so I chose to make the flower in the logo into a Mandela. When picking out logo combinations I simply used the brand colours with the addition of white and, I made many different iterations of the same logo. Afterwards, I placed them all on a large document and asked for input on which ones would be the best. The final 2 images are what was chosen. I could not simply pick one for the logo, so I then chose to use both of them. With the pale pink flower being used for digital advertisements and the gold logo for packaging.
For this part I imagined what a digital advertisement for the company would look like, I came up with digital coupons and advertisement's. My for this part was to make them trendy and simplistic. I wanted to with similar colours to our brand, while letting it still be unique. I decided to make a set of digital coupons, just so I can see how all of the colours that I picked pair.
For the packaging I chose to use the metallic version of the logo on pale pink of plain white, so that the logo can stand out. When coming up with the designs I was considering whether or not to do a black packaging, but upon consulting other people, we chose to go that card in a pale pink instead.
